About Me

My name is Matthew Harvey, and I’m a Programmer and Game Developer from Melbourne, Australia. I have previously worked as a Lead Programmer on Voyager Project, as well being a Co-Founder and Creative Director at Glitch Crab Studios.

I have had a passion for programming and game design from a young age. In 2012 I submitted my first game, a high school project, to Swinburne University’s Swingame Competition, winning second place. I later studied at Swinburne from 2014 through 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Games and Interactivity, and a Bachelor of Computer Science (Games Development).

During that time I also taught introductory programming classes at Swinburne University, completed a Diploma of Languages (Japanese) at RMIT University, and worked with a team to develop the Level Squared demo which was awarded “Best Student Game” at The Game Awards 2017 in Los Angeles.

I am now looking for new opportunities to work in and contribute to the games industry! For an overview of the projects I have worked on, please check out my portfolio page. Samples of my programming and design work are available on request.
