My name is Matthew Harvey, and I’m a Programmer and Game Developer from Melbourne, Australia. I have previously worked as a Lead Programmer on Voyager Project, as well being a Co-Founder and Creative Director at Glitch Crab Studios. I’m also a musician, a home chef, and an animal enthusiast.
I have had a passion for programming and game design from a young age. In 2012, while attending high school, I submitted my first game to Swinburne University’s Swingame Competition, winning second place. I later studied at Swinburne from 2014 through 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Games and Interactivity, and a Bachelor of Computer Science (Games Development).
During that time I also taught a variety of programming classes at Swinburne, completed a Diploma of Languages (Japanese) at RMIT, and worked with a team to develop the Level Squared demo which was awarded “Best Student Game” at The Game Awards 2017 in Los Angeles.
I am now looking for new opportunities to work in and contribute to the gaming and software development industries! For an overview of the projects I have worked on, please check out my portfolio. Samples of my programming and design work are also available upon request.
